Joel Li– Research Analyst 

Joel is the newest member of our team. He is in his final year of a combined Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Commerce (Finance) at the University of New South Wales and has been recognised in the Deans Honour List. His Honours Research Thesis researched the user-centred design of parking facilities within the scientific discipline of human factors in transport facilities design.

Prior to joining us, he was engaged in projects such as Sustainability Highways and Traffic Engineering which required redesigned intersections and roads elevation and vertical and horizontal alignments.

 

He was awarded first place in the Advisian Case Competition for devising and presenting an evaluation of the effect of the future of energy on the planning, design and operation of Badgerys Creek Airport as well as providing two technologies that could be implemented to bring energy and monetary savings.

In his initial role with APC, Joel has undertaken research and parking habit analysis of twelve precincts and activity centres for the Hornsby Shire Parking Study as well as conducted infrastructure and operational audits of the Coles shopper car parks. His thesis is assisting us with providing advice on future car park design.

Joel is bilingual and speaks fluent Cantonese as well as English.
